This is a piece of news that could disturb many people, particularly Al Gore, the former vice president of America. The co-founder of the Weather Channel and a meteorologist himself, John Coleman, appeared on Fox News Channel’s show The Kelly File and said that the notion that humans are causing the planet to get warmer is a myth. He even called Al Gore by name when making the statement.
Gore has been a climate activist for a long time and has even won an Oscar for a documentary he made on the subject. But Coleman vented ire on Gore relentlessly, saying that Gore made financial profit from the climate change issue.
Coleman went on to criticize the long-believed notion that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas and many experts have even signed a petition regarding this issue. He also added that contrary to popular belief, ice caps are not melting.
He pointed out that climate skeptics, who don’t believe that the earth’s atmosphere or oceans are getting warmer, are ridiculed and looked down upon by the scientific community that does not even give them an opportunity to speak.
Earlier this month, Coleman had shot off and open letter that said that he believes that the science propounded by media and scientific community behind climate change is ‘not valid’. According to him, there is no significant man-made global warming at this time. His letter has already shocked global warming activists and it has been followed by this interview.
He said that it was impossible for any climate skeptic to get any television time because Al Gore had made climate change one of the platforms for his Democratic Party. He said that things like oceans going up, ice melting and storms sweeping the earth are all bad science, publicized by the media.
